The 2022 edition of the Eidgenössisches Schwing- und Älplerfest (ESAF, a festival of Swiss sports and culture) took place from 26-28 August 2022 in Pratteln in the canton of Baselland. Honegger provided strong support for the country’s biggest sporting and cultural event.

Our role
As a regional event partner and a provider of individual facility services for partners on site, Honegger played an important role in the success of this spectacular sporting event and festival. Over the course of three days, a total of 20 employees did outstanding work.
ESAF
Our customer
In 2022, 400,000 spectators from the whole of Switzerland made their way to ESAF. As part of this, over 268 wrestlers from Switzerland’s five regional associations and six overseas competitors competed for the coveted title of top wrestler (Bösester des Landes – the “baddest” of the country), which was eventually won by Joel Wiki from the Wrestling Association of Central Switzerland.
